Skip Brea: Faculty in Visual Arts & Art History and Director of Studio Residence

Skip Brea, a native New Yorker, grew up in the Bronx and received a BA from DePauw University and a MFA from Florida State University. Brea is a Posse Scholar and was the recipient of the Jim Boone Endowed Art Scholarship at FSU and The Dean Collection St(Art) Up Grant. After graduating DePauw, Brea was hired as the Efroymson Arts Fellow at DePauw which is a fully funded and competitive program for post-grads to work as teaching assistants.

An alum of the New York Arts Program, Brea joined DePauw’s faculty as Professor of Design and New Media before returning to NYAP as part of our faculty.  Brea has taught Digital Art, Painting, and Drawing and is a practicing  multimedia artist, working primarily in digital painting and graphics. His work has been exhibited throughout the United States, most recently in Indiana, New York City, and Florida. https://skipbrea.com/
